ICCE2025 Subconference on

Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL) and Learning Sciences

The ICCE C2 sub-conference invites submissions from researchers who investigate phenomena in the field of Computer Supported Collaborative Learning and the Learning Sciences. This sub-conference aims to spark cross-continental dialogue on learning in collaborative contexts and how to design effective technological and pedagogical approaches to supporting collaborative learning.

We adopt an inclusive definition of collaboration that includes human-like collaboration, and we are open to a variety of collaboration-related topics beyond traditional CSCL research. Submissions may thus be related–but not limited–to research that focuses on concepts, processes, designs and new developments relevant to CSCL, human-AI collaborative learning, the role of CSCL in promoting diversity, access, societal equity and social justice in education, meaningful civic engagement and the cultivation of 21st-century skills through CSCL, the development of disciplinary and interdisciplinary knowledge and skills in CSCL, and collaborative learning opportunities that develop learners’ interests and promote lifelong learning.

We invite rigorous, innovative submissions that contribute to the body of knowledge of the field of CSCL, from mature or early-stage projects by senior and junior scholars. Contributions may adopt a theoretical, empirical, and/or a technological focus, and may draw on perspectives including educational technology, information science, educational psychology, museum and library science, learning and instructional sciences, computer and cognitive sciences, design research, human-computer interaction, and beyond.
